High precision and quality mechanical shaft seal made of combined 316 stainless steel and graphite, designed for easy installation and maintenance. The mechanical seal forms a perfect junction between the stainless steel ring and the graphite component. The stainless steel ring is mounted on the shaft with headless screws, allowing it to rotate with the shaft, while the graphite part remains stationary. These mechanical shaft seals can be directly mounted on sterntubes using a rubber sleeve secured with clamps. The standard attachment size for the rubber sleeve on the sterntube is 87 mm, but with reductions, the mechanical seal can also be mounted on sterntubes of 70 mm or sizes 2½" and 3". It can be complemented with a wall-mounted bronze shaft seal adapter complete with water-lubricated bearing (see codes 4900635<>4900680).
