High precision and quality mechanical shaft seal made of a combination of 316 stainless steel and graphite, easy to install and maintain. The mechanical seal works through the perfect junction between the stainless steel ring and the graphite component. The stainless steel ring is mounted with headless screws on the shaft (allowing it to rotate with the shaft), while the graphite part remains fixed on the shaft seal. The mechanical shaft seals can be directly mounted on the sterntube with a rubber sleeve secured with clamps. The standard attachment size for the rubber sleeve sterntube is 87 mm, but with reducers, the mechanical seal can also be mounted on sterntubes of 70 mm or 2½ inches and 3 inches. It can be complemented with a wall-mounted bronze shaft seal adapter complete with a water-lubricated bearing (see codes 4900635<>4900680).
