Marine spare part and equipment for Dometic SmartStart III.

Dometic SmartStart III Protection
The Dometic SmartStart III is expertly engineered to safeguard your electrical system from voltage spikes and drops that can occur when activating your air conditioning system. It is recommended for systems with capacities ranging from 30,000 to 85,000 BTU/h.

Marine Air Conditioning Soft Starter
This water-resistant soft starter effectively prevents voltage spikes during startup, significantly reducing the risk of power interruptions. It ensures a smooth air conditioning initiation, even in locations with subpar electrical circuit protection.

The SmartStart III minimizes high inrush currents that arise when the air conditioning unit is activated. This feature helps maintain a stable 230 V AC voltage onboard. With the SmartStart III, your air conditioning system can start up effortlessly, even when connected to a weak AC shore power source, such as in marinas.

Key Benefits:

  • Reduces inrush currents by up to 65%.
  • Compatible with air conditioning systems ranging from 12,000 to 30,000 BTU/h.
  • Small red LED indicator shows operational status and alerts for any malfunctions through various flashing patterns.

LED Power Indicator:
- Fast flicker (10 times per second) = Low voltage
- Three flashes every three seconds = Shutdown after three failed starts of the air conditioning system
- Slow flicker (once every three seconds) = Shutdown due to overcurrent
- Continuous slow flicker (once per second) = Delay mode or error

Important Notes:
After disconnecting the 230 V AC power, please wait two minutes for the capacitor to discharge before working on the air conditioning connection lines. It is crucial to install the unit in a dry environment, as contact with water may pose fire risks.
