It features a 1" BSP raw water inlet connection on one side and a 1" BSP raw water outlet connection on the opposite side. Additionally, it includes a 45 mm connection for fresh water.

Bowman advises against the use of zinc anodes, as the heat exchanger tubes are constructed from a copper-nickel alloy, which does not require them. Installing a zinc anode could damage the naturally occurring protective copper oxide layer on the tubes, leaving the material susceptible to deterioration.
