Constructed with a robust brass exterior and featuring an inner rubber component, these bearings incorporate axial channels that facilitate the perfect balance of strength and flexibility. The unique combination of rubber and water serves as both a material and lubricant, making these bearings ideal for marine environments.

Advanced Aqualube Design
The advanced design of the Aqualube bearing significantly improves functionality compared to many other options on the market. Specifically engineered to create a hydrodynamic water wedge between the shaft and the bearing, Aqualube bearings maintain performance even at lower shaft speeds.
Water serves as an excellent lubricant for marine environments due to its abundant availability, incompressibility, cooling properties, and low friction coefficient when interacting with the bearing race and shaft.
Water enters the bearing through longitudinal grooves, generating a thin film that moves radially between the propeller shaft and the bearing face. Once this film or wedge is established, the shaft remains isolated from direct contact with the bearing for enhanced durability.
Naval Brass Construction
Our naval or metallic brass bearing features a precisely machined and polished outer casing that facilitates easy installation. A specially formulated nitrile, resistant to oil and chemicals, is firmly bonded to the casing for added protection.
For smaller vessels, we offer units with thinner casings suitable for mounting in limited spaces. Sleeve bearings are typically installed using a light press fit and are secured in place with conical tip screws.
